On September 20, 2025, the long-distance hiking trail Tiroler Silberpfad will become the ultimate stage for trail runners and runners who want to test not only their physical limits but also their mental strength. The Tiroler Silberpfad Trophy challenges its participants with three thrilling distances – from the epic 86 km course to the demanding 42 km marathon and the intense 23 km sprint. The start and finish lines are located in Schwaz, at the heart of the Silberregion Karwendel. 
The Course
The Tiroler Silberpfad follows a mid-altitude route through the Inn Valley, challenging participants with a unique blend of natural beauty and athletic difficulty. On the longer distances, competitors must conquer nearly 3,500 meters of elevation gain. The steep climbs and technical descents demand not only endurance but also agility and mental toughness. Easy routes? Forget it – every curve and every meter of elevation will push runners to their limits. Anyone who crosses the finish line will have truly earned the title of "Toughest Trail Runner."
The Ultra (86 km)
For those willing to battle the elements all day long, the 86 km course presents the ultimate challenge. 3,500 meters of elevation gain must be conquered – in a single day, in one go. It’s the ultimate test of physical and mental resilience. But those who endure and reach the finish line will be rewarded with an unforgettable experience in the Tyrolean mountains – the well-deserved prize for pain, sweat, and unyielding determination. Start is at 04:00 am.
The Marathon (42 km)
The marathon leaves nothing to be desired and, with 2,700 meters of elevation gain, is a true challenge. For those seeking the perfect combination of endurance, technique, and mental strength, the 42 km trail is a must. This is where pure trail-running passion meets breathtaking mountain views. Anyone who pushes their limits here will be rewarded with a one-of-a-kind running experience. Start is at 07:30 am.
The Sprint (23 km)
For those who prefer it shorter but no less intense, there’s the 23 km sprint with 1.400 meters of elevation gain. Even here, the course is demanding, with constant ascents, descents, and challenging terrain. It’s a tough battle against time and personal limits – the fastest runners will have to pace themselves perfectly to fight their way to the top in this short but intense race.
An Event for the Extreme
The Tiroler Silberpfad Trophy is not just a race – it’s a challenge that separates the "good" from the "great." The mountains will demand everything you have.
